When God Said NO!

It is interesting to note that the first word a baby learns is NO. Sometimes I wonder if this is the reason why there is a lot of negativity in this world, though I am pretty much sure that SIN is the cause of all chaos in this beautiful world.

Even the Golden Rule which was written by the Evangelist Matthew is almost always said in its negative form: "Do not do unto others what you don't want them to do unto you" when the bible says in Chapter 7:12  So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.

What if we start saying more yes than no? What if we smile more often than we frown? What if we choose to be kind than to be mean? What if we choose to forgive more than to hold grudges? What if we choose to care rather than be passive? What if we choose to give love more than desire to be loved?

More often than not, when we humans say no, it almost always bring out negativity. Have you ever wondered what if God says no?

I was working at NYK-FilJapan Shipping Corporation when a supplier gave me a desk display which has the following written on it:
And God said, "NO!"

I asked God to take away my pride, and God said, "NO!"
He said it was not for Him to take away, but for me to give up.

I asked God to make my handicapped child whole, and God said, "NO!"
He said, "Her spirit is whole, and her body is only temporary!"

I asked God to grant me patience, and God said, "NO!"
He said, that patience is a by-product of tribulation; it isn't granted, it's earned!

I asked God to give me happiness, and God said, "NO!"
He said, He gives blessings; happiness is up to me!

I asked God to spare me pain, and God said, NO!
He said, "Suffering draws you apart from wordly cares, and brings you closer to Me!"

I asked God to make my spirit grow, and God said, "NO!"
He said, I must grow on my own, but He will prune me to make me more fruitful!

I asked God if He loved me, and God said, "YES!!!"
He gave His only Son who died for me, and I will be in Heaven someday because I believe!

I asked God to help me love others as much as He love me,
And God said, "Ahhhh, finally ~ you have the idea!"
