DOES YOUR FAITH SHOW?

After lunch today, I was asked to go to the register again. I stayed there for a good hour and a half or two, give and take. It was raining outside and cold but I was burning up. I never thought I would be able to get out of there but by God’s grace I finally did. I was so tired and hungry that I had to go straight to the breakroom for my 15-minute break.
My attention was caught by a table where I saw a young courtesy associate in a wheelchair, the Pharmacy technician trying to get his blood pressure. It was 159/96, a high blood pressure for a 22-year old boy. I learned he had chest pains.
I forgot about my hunger and I hovered around to see if there’s any way I could help. I immediately offered a prayer for him and helped massage his palms. They were icy cold. He was given aspirin but he did not take it yet. They got a can of sprite open so he could take it. He just took a sip and I asked if he wanted water instead. He said he did so I got it for him.
I used to be just a spectator when things happen like that. I did not want to be involved because I did not want to be blamed, ifever something go wrong. However, as my relationship with Jesus (hopefully) deepens, I could not ignore such things anymore. I do not want to be just a spectator. That person is a child of God. I just couldn’t stand there and do nothing. Even if the only thing I can do is to pray, at least I did something. Who knows?…..I may have done the most important thing of all…………
Brothers and sisters in Christ: are you confident in the degree of relationship you have with  our Lord?
Today’s reading talks about being either hot or cold in the faith, that any of the two is better than being lukewarm. Those who profess to love the Lord but do nothing about it are the ones being referred to as lukewarm. The Lord is not pleased with them.
Every little thing that we do for others is a manifestation of God’s love flowing through us. So let us love others as the Lord wants us to.
Father in heaven, I want to do more but I am also weak. I rejoice that you love me despite all my faults, weakness and failures. To you be honor, praise and glory, forever. Amen.
Meditation: Revelations 3:14-20
These are the words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the ruler of God’s creation. 15 I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! 16 So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth. 17 You say, ‘I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.’ But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked. 18 I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see.
19 Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent. 20 Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.
–that in all things God may be glorified
